The all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee made its Philippine debut at the 2014 Manila International Auto Show. The Grand Cherokee is powered by a 3.0 liter EcoDiesel V6 engine that Jeep claims 'delivers improved fuel efficiency'. The 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee also features more safety and security features.
Jeep’s new SUV builds on the success of the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The exterior of the 2014 Grand Cherokee has a shorter upper grill and slimmer LED head lamps. The lower front fascia of the SUV has been slightly elevated and its fog lights have been raised. The SUV also retains Jeep’s classic seven-slot grill and trapezoidal wheel arches. The rear of the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee has larger LED tail lamps, a spoiler, and a re-sculpted tailgate.
Inside, the standard Grand Cherokee features a Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen and below it, one can find the controls for radio and climate. There is an abundance of leather and wood in the interior. The steering wheel and E-shifter is leather-bound while wood treatment can be found on the Overland and Summit trims. The Limited 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee also has dark wood trim on the dashboard and doors bright insert door sill plates and bright metal accents that run along the bottom of the wood trim.
On the other hand, the Grand Cherokee Summit variant features premium natura- leather seating with heated, ventilated, and memory front seats. It also has wood trims and copper accents which are available either in black or Jeep brown.
The 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee offers a wide range of safety and security features, which include the following: Forward Collision Warning with Crash Mitigation and Selec-Speed Control; Hill-ascent Control and Hill-descent Control; Electronic Stability Control (ESC); Electronic Roll Mitigation; Hill-start Assist; and Trailer-sway Control (TSC).
It is powered by a 3.0 liter EcoDiesel V6 engine that can deliver 243 PS with 569 Nm of torque and mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Moreover, the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee has a crawl ratio of 44.1:1.
