Last night, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) officially launched the 2019 GR Supra in the country. However, it wasn't the first time we here at Chokdee.info got to see the A90 up close. In fact, we already saw it last month when the GR Supra made a surprise appearance at the Toyota Vios Racing Festival in Clark International Speedway.

This time, rather than focus on what we already know and have seen before, we decided to take a closer look at the finer details of the GR Supra. Details and info that some people might have overlooked.

One of the most interesting details about the GR Supra can be found in the bodywork, specifically the spoiler. It seems that the factory ducktail spoiler isn't made of metal similar to the rest of the body. Instead, it is made of plastic. Furthermore, it doesn't appear to be fixed together with the Supra's rear hatch. We suspect it is a completely separate item which owners can change in order to fit a larger GT wing or aftermarket spoiler.

Other exterior details you will notice on the Supra would be the double bubble roof, similar to the one on the 86. When looking at the Supra from the side, you'll notice the window line is shaped similar to the classic 2000GT. The vents on the hood and the side of the body aren't exactly functional, but they sure do a great job to make the Supra's silhouette look very streamlined; and also rather sexy.

Interestingly, all of the side mirrors on the Supra sold locally are finished in matte gray and feature small streaks on the end which likely improve airflow. Aerodynamics are about smaller details, too, right?

Now, there's nothing really special about the wheels on the Supra apart from them being really wide. What is new on the A90 is the bolt pattern. Considering it is a Toyota, most people probably expected it to have a 5x114.3 pattern like most Japanese cars. However, it's not. In fact, it's not even 5x120 like most BMW models. Instead, the A90 has a 5x112 bolt pattern, similar to other European manufacturers. So if you're planning to change the wheels of your Supra, do remember to get 5x112 wheels.

Step inside, and it is obvious that some German-inspired designs which have been carried over from its open-top sibling. The infotainment system, Supra graphics on the cluster, rotary controller, and gear shifter all appear to have been adopted directly. In fact, the cabin even features the same door chime as that of a Bavarian saloon car. However, the center console features carbon fiber trim instead of the brushed aluminum from its open-top sibling.

Open the rear hatch, and you'll find the trunk which extends toward the cabin. You'll also find the JBL subwoofer integrated behind the seats. Don't see it? Look closer.
