Advanced tech company DeepBlue debuted its multi-functional, artificial intelligence-based autonomous vehicle: the Smart Panda Bus. In a bid to redefine public transportation, DeepBlue pulled the covers off of their latest vehicle at the China Artificial Intelligence Summit held in Shanghai.

Incorporating eight different core technologies, the Smart Panda Bus leverages on the latest AI technologies all in one product. Among its many features are AutoPilot, Finger Vein Recognition, Voice Interaction, Precise Advertising Push, Vehicle Monitoring Robot, Intelligent Unmanned Retail System, Abnormal Behavior Monitoring System. It also has what is called an Intelligent Escape Emergency Handling System,an intervention protocol that has never been implemented in a public commuter transport until now.

Those taking the Smart Panda Bus can capitalize on its on-board connectivity as well. Whether it be for passenger shopping, or the Bus itself monitoring and recording any suspicious behavior in real time. For the latter, the Bus makes timely broadcasts at the back-end for early warning and activates the intelligent escape emergency system. Commerce and security are well covered for all by the Smart Panda Bus. All of these herald a big step towards the development of smart cities of the future, something that many AI industry elites, companies, and even China's city officials and overseas guests from the Belt and Road countries gathered together to discuss during the Summit.

DeepBlue Technology aims to be a global company that will be able to serve people all over the world. The Smart Panda Bus received enthusiastic support and will land in Asia and Europe this year. Countries such as Germany, Luxembourg, Italy, and Greece have shown great interest in the autonomous bus as well. It is expected that Smart Panda Bus will be available in Europe in 2019. City officials in Bangkok has already approved the BRT, another autonomous driving vehicle of DeepBlue Technology, to start trials around the middle of this year.
